A long-time Wilmington wealth management firm plans to stay put in Landfall.

Kelly Tinsley, director and branch manager of UBS Financial Services of Wilmington, said Friday her division has signed onto a 10-year lease agreement to stay put in its Landfall Park spot at 1985 Eastwood Road, Suite 110.

Vin Wells, a broker with Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial, completed the long-term lease transaction for an undisclosed amount.

Tinsley said the firm was established in Landfall Park – a Class A office park anchored by Port City Chop House, Hampton Inn and SunTrust Bank – in 1998. She said the firm expanded in 2002 when the staff of more than 20 began occupying more than 6,500 square feet of office space.

The most recent long-term lease agreement allowed the firm to complete an extensive renovation at its Landfall Park offices despite eyeing other office developments, including The Offices at Mayfaire, in the area.

“We looked at other locations, but we just really like the space that we had,” Tinsley said. “It really worked out great for us.”
After 12 weeks of construction work, Tinsley said UBS officials moved into their renovated space Oct. 29.

Wilmington-based CCSI completed the renovation to the office space, with Randall Smith serving as project manager. Patti Baker of Wilmington-based McKenzie Baker has been helping the firm with interior design work.

Tinsley said the firm planned to host a re-grand opening 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at UBS Financial’s renovated digs in Landfall Park.

The event is open to the public and existing clients.

While the open house will give visitors a chance to tour the renovated office space, art from all 12 winners of the recent Landfall Foundation’s annual art show will also be on display for sale during the event.
