NEWS RELEASE: Retail Success In Ogden

Jan 3, 2005

Wilmington, N.C. – January 3, 2005 – There has been considerable interest in the progress of Ogden Town Center, the attractive new shopping center on Market Street, in Ogden. Having just been delivered at the end of 2003, Ogden Town Center, with its pastel colors and plush palm trees, is almost fully occupied. Bryan Greene, Associate Director of Brokerage at Cape Fear Commercial, has been instrumental in securing the wide range of tenants to the 12,300 square foot, Class A retail strip center at 7134 Market Street.

The current demographics of the area have been a major attraction. Between 1990 and 2000, the area on Market Street where Ogden Town Center is located has experienced a population growth of 185% within a one-mile radius, not to mention the 52,589 vehicles per day that drive past the center on the way to and from work each day.

Current tenants who call the center home include Blue Chip Insurance, an authorized Blue Cross/Blue Shield Agency; Wine Etc.; Trade Secrets; Zero’s Subs; Brooklyn Cigars; and Lisa’s Nails. Cape Fear Commercial is also pleased to announce that Fire Bowl Café should be open in February 2005.

With only one anchor spot, totaling 2,460 square feet, and one single-tenant unit, totaling 1,230 square feet, Bryan Greene feels confident that the center will be at 100% occupied soon.

The new tenants have all been thrilled with the exposure and tenant traffic that they’ve experienced, as revealed by Denise at Wine Etc. when she stated that “This location and shopping center has far exceeded our expectations!” With lease terms ranging from three to five years, it is apparent that Ogden Town Center will continue to remain vibrant for years to come and a great addition to the North Market Street landscape.
