CFC Partner Brian Eckel Awarded 2022 Q1 CoStar Powerbroker Award

CoStar Group, Inc., the leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces, has announced its Power Broker Quarterly Deal winners for the first quarter of 2022 — and Cape Fear Commercial Partner and Co-founder Brian Eckel has claimed a top spot.

During the year’s first quarter, Eckel made the largest office-leasing transaction in the Wilmington market, according to CoStar. The 5,262-square-foot lease at Renaissance Courtyard was signed by MegaCorp. The office building is located within the Landfall submarket: just a few minutes’ drive from Wrightsville Beach, with easy access to Downtown Wilmington.

Eckel co-founded Cape Fear Commercial in 2001 and has since guided the firm’s evolution into one of the region’s leading providers for brokerage, property management, and development services. He is also a partner in the firm’s development arm, Cape Fear Development; and this year Eckel oversaw the launch of Cape Fear Construction Group, a subsidiary organization that integrates Cape Fear’s real estate and development services with the expertise of a full-service general contracting provider.
