The Seven Seas Inn, a 32-key hospitality landmark in the heart of Kure Beach, has transitioned to new ownership, marking a significant milestone for the Pleasure Island hospitality market. The sale moves a multi-generational family asset into a new era of modernization and potential growth.
Occupying a premier ±1.03-acre position on the “Beach Row” corridor between Fort Fisher Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, the Seven Seas Inn has been a staple of the community. Since 1991, the Del Pizzo family operated the inn for over three decades, though operations in recent years became limited during the illness and passing of the founding parents.
The acquisition highlights the substantial value-add potential of the asset. Historically operated with manual bookkeeping and without modern revenue management or online booking systems, the property is poised for significant growth under new leadership. Incoming owner Wayne Yip, with Phoenix Legacy Management LLC, plans to professionalize operations and implement strategic improvements aimed at capturing expanded shoulder seasons and driving year-round demand.
Beyond the existing 32 guest rooms, the 1.03-acre site offers significant potential for expansion. The property includes a dedicated parcel for future development and favorable B-1 zoning, which allows for mixed-use projects and residential-over-retail concepts. This flexibility positions the property to capitalize on the ongoing revitalization of the Kure Beach and Carolina Beach area.
